Wilbur Ross Reminds Us In 4 Words, Why Trump Picked Him

Fox business anchor, Maria Bartiromo speaks to Treasury Secretary Nominee Steven Mnuchin and Commerce Secretary Nominee Wilbur Ross on President-elect Donald Trump’s plans for tax reform, and the plans for TPP.

Wilbur Ross reminds us all why he was such a great pick.  His bluntness and toughness about the TPP, and in particular this one comment about the soon to be dead trade deal is quite spectacular to hear…

Ross’ Pedigree

On Wednesday, Trump tapped Ross for the position. Ross, 78, has been a staunch supporter of Trump and is one of his economic advisors.

Wilbur Louis Ross, Jr. (born November 28, 1937) is an American investor, and former banker, known for restructuring failed companies in industries such as steelcoal, telecommunications, foreign investment and textiles. He specializes in leveraged buyouts and distressed businesses. As of August 2014, Forbes magazine lists Ross as one of the world’s billionaires with a net worth of $2.9 billion

Former Secretary of Commerce, Bill Daley, even commemorates Trump on the pick of Ross for the position:

“He’s been in multiple different industries, businesses, has seen the good and bad of a lot of different industries and the difficulties internationally. And he’s been a strong advocate for a different trade policy.”
