District Court Judge Peter Cahill rejected the state’s motion to seal the video of George Floyd’s prior arrest from 2019, which has been described as  “remarkably similar” to his deadly encounter with police on Memorial Day in 2020.

The defense claims the video from the previous arrest shows similar behavior from Floyd such as crying, pleading for his mom and evasive drug tactics. In the video from 2019, Floyd does not complain about ‘claustrophobia,’ and gets into the cruiser without issue.
