Northern Virginia Task Force Gets Rid of Gang Database Due to Gangbangers Being Mainly Non-White

If you spot patterns, you might just be a racist.

Heck, any public body that notices not-so comfortable patterns about criminal behavior could be in a lot of trouble. Hence, the decision by the North Virginia Regional Gang Task Force to discontinue using GangNet, a database that compiles a list of alleged gang members in the D.C. area.

Anti-white activists claimed that this database intentionally over-represents the instances that non-whites are involved in crimes. Previously, when people’s brains weren’t infected by the woke virus, these databases were reliable tools law enforcement officials used to track gang activities. Now, ethnic panderers believe that statistics that show non-white criminality are suddenly racist.

Jay Lanham, executive director of the task force who caved to the woke mob, said that his decision to shut down GangNet was brought about after deciding that the database was no longer useful. He poured cold water on the idea that he made the decision because of the so-called “racial bias” that the database contained. “We don’t use it that much to solve crimes in the region,” Lanham declared. “Our guys haven’t found it helpful.”

More than 120 law enforcement agencies in Maryland, Virginia and Washington D.C. use GangNet. The Office of National Drug Control Policy’s Washington/Baltimore High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) runs this database and claims that the files of 7,800 alleged gang members are stored in its database. The database has been used for around a decade.

Law enforcement agencies in this region place people suspected of being gang members in the system based on whether they admit to being a gang member, a reliable source revealing that the person in question belongs to a gang, having gang tattoos, wearing clothing generally associated with gangs, being connected to gang members or being previously arrested alongside gang members.

In other locations, GangNet has come under fire. Activist attorneys and politicians have criticized the database for supposedly placing law-abiding immigrants in the database in Prince George’s County, Maryland. A similar case of a gang database being deleted took place in Cook County, Illinois back in 2019, when activists moaned about the database showing a disproportionate number of non-whites belonging to gangs.

The woke crowd gets triggered when confronted with facts. The cold-hard truth is that there are significant differences among racial groups with regards to their propensity for criminal activity. Yes, there are breakdowns in overall society that have led to the collapse of certain communities.

But let’s not pretend this is the result of “white supremacy.” It’s perhaps time to discuss the massive crime differences  l between racial groups and that the factors that are the primary contributors to why non-whites (specifically Blacks and Hispanics) contribute to the overwhelming majority of crimes.
