The First Pentecostal Church in Holly Springs, Mississippi refused to shut their doors to COVID19 restrictions, and was set ablaze by vandals, causing an explosion. Before fleeing the scene, the arsonists spray painted “BET YOU STAY HOME NOW YOU HYPOKRITS”  in the church parking lot. Investigators say they found evidence of arson after the north Mississippi church was destroyed in the overnight fire.

Fox News – The building went up in flames between 2-4 a.m. Investigators said the church was spray-painted with graffiti before an explosion blew out the front of the building, according to Fox 13.  Maj. Kelly McMillian of the Marshall Count Sheriff’s Department confirmed the fire to be a criminal act of arson.

Thomas More Society senior counsel and lawyer for the church, Stephen Crampton, spoke with Fox News about the fire and said the perpetrators spray-painted a message that read, “I Bet you stay home now you hypokrits.”

“We’re in a time where I don’t think it’s any secret that there’s a growing hostility toward churches, across the board,” Crampton said. “And now, here are churches like First Pentecostal that are sort of stirring up the waters by being outspoken and somewhat firm about seeking to protect their Constitutional rights.”

He added, “They’ve had bad comments [sent their way] on social media. … There is just a segment that takes issue with the church standing up, and the church just being the church.”

Crampton represented First Pentecostal in court after its pastor Jerry Waldrop was cited for holding Easter Sunday services. The Thomas More Society also claimed police disrupted a Bible study group held 10 days after the citation.

This is not the first case of anti-Christian vandalism caused by outrageous media propaganda. On Easter morning nails were scattered across the parking lot of Maryville Baptist Church in Kentucky. The act of vandalism came after Governor Andy Beshear threatened misdemeanor fines to any Christians disobeying a stay at home order on the holiday.

Vandals Leave Nails in Church Parking Lot — Police Issue Notices to Christians on Easter Morning

If we had an honest media in the United States, we wouldn’t have pointless fear mongering over a handful of Christians attending church. Did you know, Americans are 80 Times More Likely to Catch COVID-19 at Super Market Than Church. But we have yet to see a Walmart vandalized, burned down or protested by an irrational populace. Why is that? Maybe if our media weren’t intentionally misleading the public, or if the media weren’t run by anti-Christian zealots, our country wouldn’t consistently hear stories such as these.
