BREAKING: Explosions Rock Ariana Grande Concert In Manchester

‘Expect Mass Casulaties’

Emergency services respond to what is described as two loud explosions heard at the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester.  Medical crews are on the scene tending to injured people now.  The exact extent of damage and injuries is unknown at this point however according to GM Police, there are ‘mass casualties’  and several injured.

The NHS have told  ‘The Sun,’ that it was nail bomb attack either in the foyer of the arena, or possibly outside of the event entrance. Staff at Wythenshawe hospital say they are expecting “mass casualties.” This video shows many frantic concert-goers screaming and running in panic from the scene while a man over the loudspeaker attempts to keep everyone calm.

In the video below, you can see around twenty to thirty emergency vehicles rushing to the scene of the blasts.  There are mixed reports currently about the quantity of actual explosions as some local reports are stating there were multiple and some local reporters are saying there was one large blast that originated in the foyer.

Twitter users from within the arena described the sounds and loud ‘scary’ explosions.  This twitter user video-documented the scene from within the arena during the evacuation.

People close to the scene have describe the occurrence as the ‘scariest moment of their lives.’  Minaj Lovato tweeted that there are ‘people bleeding, crying and injured,’ and that ‘there was a blast.’

Oliver Jones, 17, was at the concert with his 19-year-old sister. He told Daily Mail:  “I was in the toilet and heard a loud bang just after the concert had finished and people had started to leave.

“The bang echoed around the foyer of the arena and people started to run. I seen people running and screaming towards one direction and then many were turning around to run back the other way. Security was running out as well as the fans and concert goers.

He added: “I’m in so much shock and panic. You see this on the news all the time and never expect it to happen to you. I just had to run and make sure me and my sister were safe.”

Bomb disposal units are on the scene as well as armed police canvassing the radius around where the explosion occurred.  The  area surrounding the arena has now been completely evacuated and has been closed off while seats occur.
