In an interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo that is set to air Wednesday at 6am EST, President Trump reaffirmed something that a lot of his voter base were longing to hear. “We’re not going into Syria. Our policy is the same, it hasn’t changed. We’re not going into Syria,” Trump told Bartiromo.
Some independent journalists and people with sources close to the administration are stating that Trump knows a lot of his voter base do not agree with any sort of “Clinton / Obama style” interventionism, and say that Trump’s statements and decision to interview with Bartiromo were a direct result of the pushback of Trump’s base.
Sources confirm Trump's remarks on Syria today are direct response to feedback from the base. Those who advised against push back are wrong.

In clip of the previews of the interview Bartiromo asks “what are we doing right now in terms of North Korea?” Trump responds “You never know do you, you never know.” This is consistent with his promise all throughout his campaign about never telling the media or the ‘opponent,’ what you are going to do before you do it. “Im not going to be like Obama where they talk about in four months we’re going to hit Mosul,” Trump continued.
All Tump gave up was that they are “sending an Armada that is very powerful.” Barroom also asks about tax reform to which Trump replied “We are going to have phenomenal tax reform, but I have to do healthcare first to do it right.”
