In a world of extreme hypocrisy, nothing should surprise you.
The Detroit Free Press, a part of the USA Today Network, has reported that the Rev. Jesse Jackson spoke to the media outlet at the University of Michigan making a request for Barack Obama to pardon Hillary Clinton before he leaves office. It’s a bit misleading because Jackson never admits Clinton did anything wrong, instead he says it’s best for the country.
Stopping short of saying Clinton did anything wrong, Jackson told a large crowd of University of Michigan students, faculty and administrators gathered at daylong celebration of his career that Obama should short-circuit President-elect Donald Trump’s promised attempt to prosecute Hillary Clinton for use of a private e-mail server.
“It would be a monumental moral mistake to pursue the indictment of Hillary Clinton,” Jackson said.
“Hillary Clinton has not been tried, but there are those who want to drag her for the next three years. It will not stop until they find a reason to put her in jail. That would be a travesty.”
Isn’t it odd that Jackson refers to Clinton in jail as a “travesty” rather than saying “if she committed treason she should pay for her crimes?” Apparently, he’s asking for Clinton to get a free pass because he’s worried about what Donald Trump’s presidency is going to do to this country.
After appearing at an anti-Trump rally at the University, Jackson spoke to the Free Press about the tension in America. Here’s what he had to say about Trump:
“The one who set the field afire must be the one to put it out,” he told the Free Press in a one-on-one interview. “He [Trump] had the option to pour water on it (the dry field) and let it grow. He didn’t do that — he chose to light it on fire. One of my concerns is that we see the division in America now because of that. We see classmates, roommates in a conflict over the way the campaign turned out.”
He chose to light it on fire by winning the election?
So, let’s bring this full circle.
Hillary Clinton, the democrats’ choice for presidency is under investigation for treason. Now that she lost the election, Jackson believes Obama should pardon her, even though “she didn’t do anything wrong,” because it would just be best for the country? Meanwhile, Trump won the election, so he’s going to set America on fire and the “Klan is going to ride again?” Yes, Jackson actually said that.
What the hell is this world coming to?
Trump, even though he previously indicated he might pursue the indictment of Clinton, was extremely pleasant to Hillary’s campaign and efforts for American in his victory speech. Trump also referenced bringing America together as being one of the first things he’s going to do after taking office.
In the same breath, lefties are calling him a racist, bigot and they claim he’s ruined the country.
He hasn’t even taken office yet.
Drain the swamp.
