Michael Moore appeared on morning Joe today to debunk the thrown about suggestion that rural white racist voters were the cause of Trump’s Tuesday night victory. “You have accept that millions of people who voted for Barack Obama, some of them once, some of them twice, changed their minds this time. Thats the America we live in, they’re not racist.” Moore said.
Here is the short interview:
Moore also cited factual data, stating that there were high demographics of 18 to 35 year olds that were a big part of Obama’s voter base that also poured out in historical numbers in support of Trump. This is not the only thing that debunks the “white racist” theory however. Trump also wouldn’t have won without the latino vote.
Yes, you read that correctly, the latino vote.
Trump recorded around 30% of the overall latino voter base this year. More importantly the latino voter surge in Florida is what won him the state. Without the latino vote in Florida, he doesn’t win the state, and without the win in Florida, he doesn’t win the election. No matter how much Van Jones at CNN wants to scream “white-lash,” we would be saying President Clinton for the foreseeable future, if not for the non-white latino voters.
